1963 Chevy 1/2-Ton 4 x 4 K-10

I bought this old truck, a 1963 1/2-ton 4 x 4 K-10, in 1975 or '76 in Billings, Montana.  I was about 16 or 17 at the time.  (I'm now 53.) The truck was a long wheel base step side. 

In my senior year of high school (1977), I chopped the frame and made it into a short wheel base with the original 6 cylander 235. 

The truck has been all over Montana; down to San Antonio, Texas and back; Southern California and back; Montana to Denver a bunch of times; Denver to Atlanta, Georgia; Atlanta to Minneapolis, Minnesota.  And when I restore it again, I will drive it back to Montana to finish the circle. 

The only major modification I've done to it is put a 400 sb v-8 in it when I got out of the Air Force in 1982.

I found a few pictures of my son at a very young age with the truck, too. He's now 23 years old. I have another good old picture taken in 1993 of our daughther with the truck when she was three. She is now 21! The picture above is that same daughter -- the picture was just taken in December 2011. Man, my truck is getting old!

The truck is currently being stored in Minnestoa and still a good driver.
